Biomedical Interfaces incorporate traditional and new fields in medicine, science and engineering to formulate novel medical solutions tailored for individual characteristics of each patient. Knowledge in chemistry, physics, biology and clinical medicine are merged with genomics, proteomics, genetics and synthetic biology – as well as engineering– to meet the needs of emerging infection control, drug discovery, cancer treatment, health ageing and development of diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices. Our research incorporates the development of biomedical imaging, tissue engineering, nanotechnology, biomaterial, vaccines, genomics as well as stem cell biology and regenerative medicine.
